We are proud to teach The Pet Safety Crusader Pet First Aid and CPCR (CPR) program for dogs and cats!

We all care very deeply for our pets, and want to do what is best for them. This 6 hour class is designed to prepare pet owners and pet professionals for what to do in case of emergency. This class is not a replacement for veterinary care. We teach both preventative skills and how to respond safely before you can access veterinary care.

Program Description

This Pet First Aid course provides an overview on how to manage a life-threatening medical emergency that may occur with dogs and cats. It focuses on how to either try to keep the animal alive or prevent its condition from getting worse prior to arriving at a veterinary facility.

This class is ideal for anyone who loves animals including animal professionals, obedience trainers, kennel staff, pet retailers, pet sitters, animal shelter staff/volunteers, rescue personnel, groomers, First Responders, Fire/EMT and pet owners. This course will provide an overview of what to do for a pet in an emergency situation prior to getting veterinary care. Curriculum for all classes is developed by licensed veterinary professionals using veterinary industry standard methods of emergency medical care.

I needed someone to walk my dog for a couple weeks while I was healing from surgery. Unfortunately my 75-pound dog got reactive during COVID lockdown, is constantly in training to lower his anxiety, and needs special handling when walking on leash. This is not a job for the kid down the street.

Luckily, Ed with Dogma Catma happened to be available. I cannot praise him enough. He has a calm but firm manner with dogs. He handled my difficult dog like a pro. You can tell that Ed has long experience with reactive dogs -- he knew just what to do -- and my dog adored him.

I would give Ed ten stars if I could. He is skilled and trustworthy. Highly, highly recommended.

Our dog, Sadie, is excited to see Ed when he comes to walk her. He takes great care of her, and gets her the exercise she needs. He is also very respectful of our home and time. Ed is the best.

Jordan and Ed at Dogma Catma have been amazing pet sitters and care providers for our pets for well over a decade. They are reliable, flexible, and their communication has been impeccable.
Our first dog a very anxious and routine oriented girl. Dogma Catma did overnights with her and were just amazing. The sitter left daily, detailed reports of how she was doing and we never worried when we were out of town. When we got our next dog, he came home with giardia. They were wonderful at stopping by during the day to check on him and let him out to take care of business while he was feeling ill and was still working on house training. I would have felt so guilty leaving him to go to work if not for the excellent care he received. When we got a lizard, we were delighted to learn that Dogma Catma are experienced care givers for our scaley little family member! They really know their stuff with our particular type of lizard.
- I’m still blown away by the way they dealt with the Marshall fires last year. We were out of town for the holidays and actually learned about the situation because Dogma Catma contacted us with updates. I really appreciated learning about the what was happening from them because they were so calm, caring, and reassuring. Our power had gone out due to the strong winds and our lizard needed his lights. The kept monitoring and updating us on the situation and even did extra checks on our house and lizard to ensure his safety. Despite the fact that the road closures were just one intersection away from our house, they made extra visits and continued to update us on what was happening. We felt so helpless being out of town and their extra efforts made such a difference in a time of crisis. The fact that this chaotic and traumatic situation happened during the busy holiday season makes me forever grateful for their generous and caring dedication to keeping clients safe and informed.
- We have always been able to rely on Dogma Catma in our time of need. I recently broke a bone and was unable to walk. Jordan and Ed responded to my request for assistance right away so that my dog could continue to get his daily walk.

This company is a HIDDEN GEM. Reasonably priced and high tech enough to provide a platform where you can upload individual profiles for your pets! Dogma Catma is always pleasant and finding ways to do little extras! Stop searching, you found Colorado's best pet sitters!

We took in a foster dog that had much more energy than we anticipated. Due to our work schedules, we had trouble giving him long-enough walks early in the day, and he would get stir-crazy. Dogma/Catma responded immediately to our request for dog walking and came over for a meet and greet the very next day. They understood the unique needs of the dog (he was very big and energetic) and were very reliable. They really reduced the stress level in our home and we were so gratefull for their immediate response and great service.
