Job Description Overview

You will provide care for animals in the client’s homes. This will include feeding and fresh water, exercise, care and companionship for the pet, administering medications and cleaning up after them. You will also attend to the client’s homes while they are away, general duties include checking the mail and watering the plants. Each job is different and may include other duties specified by the client.

Dog Walker

This position is typically Monday through Friday between the hours of 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We do individual walks with dogs (not group walks) although we will walk multiple dogs of the same household. This can include walking for up to an hour per visit in all kinds of weather.

Sitters must be able to:

  • Walk dogs safely and responsibly and pick up waste
  • Be attentive and loving
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be able to assist with feeding or medication administration if directed by the client
  • Jobs and days needed vary but you must be available between 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Monday through Friday
  • Sitter will start out with 1-2 visits per day and increase as time goes on

Overnight Pet Sitter

This position includes staying in the client’s home with the pets for 12 hours, typically 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Sitters must be able to:

  • Treat clients homes with respect and be good house guests
  • Be clean and detail oriented
  • Can commit to jobs from 3 days to 2 week stays
  • Work weekends and holidays
  • Other house guests and pets are not permitted

AM & PM Pet Sitter

This position involves visits between 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM -9:00 PM while pet owners are out of town.

Sitters must be able to:

  • Be comfortable with different feeding routines and giving medications to dogs and cats
  • Be attentive, observant and caring
  • Work weekends and holidays
  • Have good communication skills
  • Have excellent dog handling skills
  • Jobs and days needed vary but you must be available 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM -9:00 PM
